english paper 1 could have gone a lot better. i spent ten minutes - yes, really ten, i was staring at the clock - wondering if formal letters needed two finger spacings at the beginning of each paragraph (in the end i added the indentations only to find out that you aren't supposed to), so i only got started on my composition at 9:10 when we were supposed to end at a quarter before 10. was working on auto-pilot by then so i grabbed the very first prompt of 'barriers' and started writing about a guy in jail. it was a typical story of mine; self-absorbed central character who isn't very likeable doing nothing of excitement at all. i am very interested to see what the marker of my piece has to say about my use of randomly capitalised words, brit insults and the mention of non-consensual buggering. got home at 11 and went to sleep instead of practising german. this supremely bad idea resulted in a very ugly scene in my bedroom when i woke up at 1, panicked, and flung my textbook away from me in a fit of hysteria, bringing my mosquito net down on my head.
